I've only seen clips, but then I found it on Youtube in English,
though I can't watch it right now: -

(part 1 of 10, I think. You have to wait for 30 seconds for the
static to go away.)

http://imdb.com/title/tt0287351/

This has a very high rating.

It seems very faithful to the book, from the clips I remember - it
includes the black rabbits and the coffin, the cricket and the hammer,
the mastiff that chases Pinocchio over the sea cliff, and the
fisherman ogre. Also, Pinocchio is clearly drawn according to the
original illustrations. In allmovie.com, this is listed as a 1978
movie. I assume that's when it was translated.

Of course, one of the biggest problems with the Disney movie is that
Pinocchio gets in trouble mainly because he's too innocent to know
better - and a bit slow to learn. In the book, it's clear he's far
smarter than that from the start. Not to mention that he definitely
has a sense of malice - see the first chapter with the Cricket!

Lenona.
