Auricular Records Announces the Return of the Auricular Audio Magazine
Compilation Series with Volume 13

October 2008, Los Gatos, CA - In the late 80's and early 90's artists
from all over the world contributed tracks to the original 12 volumes
of the Auricular Audio Magazine series. These compilations were
released on cassette in limited edition packages of 100, often
handmade and assembled.

Auricular Audio Magazine was known for exposing obscure and emerging
artists from around the globe. Almost 15 years since the last issue of
Auricular Audio Magazine was released, Auricular Records is proud to
announce Auricular Audio Magazine #13 - available on CD and as a
digital download. The artistic community’s interest in participation
in the rebirth of the classic series has been so overwhelming that it
has secured the series as a source, once again, for the obscure,
ephemeral and unique sounds of our world.

Auricular Audio Magazine #13 boasts a collection of 16 artists from
around the globe and spanning a more diverse range of styles and
disciplines than the series has ever explored in the past.

Highlights include tracks by artists:

Forms of Things Unknown, whose past efforts have included
collaborations with Boyd Rice, Faust and Nurse With Wound.

Chrysler Jazz Award Winner, Manuel T. Engel

Kern Philharmonic and San Jose Symphony veteran and composer
nikolailash

Lithuanian experimental music scene fixture Gintas Kraptavicius

Sydney-based electronic composer-producer Wade Clarke (Aeriae)

4x4 prize from the Glasgow Centre for Contemporary Arts winner Michael
V. Farley (The Beige Channel)

Profoundly fluent, with more than 100 releases to date, noise artist
Alan Courtis

Composer and award winning song writer Brent Goodbar’s collaboration
project with Alan Herrick, of ambient soundart group Nux Vomica.

Other artists included on the release are 1undread (Jamaica), Kitchen
Sink (UK), A Pyxie Worm (UK), Lullaby League (US), Noisepsalm (US),
Death of the West (US), and a.P.A.t.T. (UK). Visit the Auricular Audio
Magazine #13 website at http://aam13.auricular.com for more
information.

Auricular Audio Magazine #13 is available digitally through iTunes,
Emusic, Rhapsody and Napster and in CD format from Auricular Records
(www.auricular.com).

Auricular Audio Magazine #13 marks Auricular Record’s 4th release
since August of 2008, following their return to manufacturing and
distribution and a move from their San Francisco studio to Los Gatos,
CA. Other titles planned for 2008 include new releases by Irish
composer and concrete artist Barry Dillon, Nux Vomica and Auricular
Audio Magazine #14. The manufacture of a boxed set of the remastered/
restored original 12 volumes of the Auricular Audio Magazine series
will continue in early 2009.
