I've got a reason to compile a list of anime that have western-style
angels as characters. They don't need to be absolutely accurate
depictions of Judaeo-Christian-Islamic angels, but they do need to at
least look the part...

Ah My Goddess! (TV) - the goddesses have assistant angels that are
actually a part of them; each angel reflects her goddess' physical and
emotional state.

Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne - assuming the anime is reasonably close to the
manga, there's an angel and a fallen angel in the main cast.

Risky/Safety - Safety is an "apprentice angel".

Any more?

I'm really surprised that Galen forgot Misha and her sister from "Pitaten".

BTW, there is no "question" about it - Tenko in "Kamisama Kazoku" is an
angel, even though she doesn't have wings.

Gatchan in "Dr. Slump" is an angel (or at least a cherub on the way to
becoming an angel).

One of the girls in the "Tokimeki" episode of "Abenobashi Mahou Shotengai"
sprouts angel wings and flies off into the sky.

I suppose that all of the girls in "Tenshi no Shippo" are angels (albeit,
pet-angels).

The girls in "Chaos;Head" are portrayed with angel wings in the opening
animation.

Sailor Moon has angel wings in Sailor Stars (though she never acquires a
halo).

Most, if not all, of the Haibane have halos, too. ^_^

If memory serves, the imagery was much more explicit in the last few
moments where she was walking off into that plain...

It's close enough that I'd be willing to consider her as a borderline
case, myself.

The inhabitants of the Sky Islands in One Piece have wings and are (at
least occasionally) referred to as angels.

Dragon Ball Z,  The good guys when they die, get an halo and go to

There's the angel in the opening sequence of RahXephon.

Angel Blade features the occasional character briefly sprouting
angelic wings (when they're not fighting or raping each other, that
is).

All three of the goddesses on Oh! My Goddess TV are shown with angel's
wings in the OP sequence.

That's all I can think of that I don't recall other posters in this
thread bringing up yet.

Watson.
