(I think it's time we do something more productive than mocking the
troll. So I'm starting this thread.)
I've got a reason to compile a list of anime that have western-style
angels as characters. They don't need to be absolutely accurate
depictions of Judaeo-Christian-Islamic angels, but they do need to at
least look the part...
Ah My Goddess! (TV) - the goddesses have assistant angels that are
actually a part of them; each angel reflects her goddess' physical and
emotional state.
Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne - assuming the anime is reasonably close to the
manga, there's an angel and a fallen angel in the main cast.
Risky/Safety - Safety is an "apprentice angel".
Any more?

Have you checked <tvtropes.org>? ... nope, there doesn't seem to be a
category for them, or at least the site search doesn't find it.
"Escaflowne": The inhabitants and descendents of Atlantis have wings.
"Sousei no Aquarion": The adversaries (the so-called Shadow Angels)
all have feathered wings, although not necessarily on their backs, and
some of them are rather non-humanoid. And they're from "Atlandia."
(Yes, like "Escaflowne," it's a Shoji Kawamori production.)
"Digimon": Angemon and Angewomon; in season 4, Cherubimon, Seraphimon,
and Ophanimon (named after three of seven ranks of angels named in...
somewhere in the bible).
