DS forgot his key today - fortunately I wasn't too late coming home as it
was chilly out.
He was very excited that several "Birdies Mommy" came to feed while he was
sitting on the deck waiting for me. For a 16 year old, he sounded just like
a little kid, awed that a bird came and sat just a few feet from him.
I'll remember that next time I want to kill him...

Is that good or bad? ;)
If nothing else, I may get less guff about feeding the birds.
But, I do wish he'd remember his keys. It's getting cold.

Trust me it's good. In today's world, if you can get a kid interested in
anything worthwhile you've done a good thing. And by the same token, all
too often parents may lack the interest in even trying to point their
children in the right direction.
As for the keys, you've still got some work to do.

Thanks - so far we've gotten both kids to have a wide range of interests. It
was the first time the big one had been at all interested in the birds.
Thank heavens for the chickadees boldness.
As for the keys, it will come. More important he remembers his glasses for
school. I won't let him have car keys with out them on his face....
