Hi I am looking for some fireproof(well, heat resistant) insulation
for some electrical wires that run next to an exhaust on a snowmobile.
I have seen them before but i cannot recall where i could find them.
you guys know what I am looking for, composite fiber glass socks but
in a much smaller diameter that what one puts on big rockets. I'd be
looking for something for about 24mm to bt80 size. any sources? |

Try McMaster-Carr They have several different type bradded heat
resistant flexible. Look under and Fastening and Sealing. The catalog I
have, #108 shows what you are looking for starting on page 3170 and
shows fiberglass, Nomex, Kevlar and ceramic sleeve packing. I have been
using the fiberglass sleeve packing for years as recovery harness
protection, close to the ejection charge.
