WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama chose Illinois Rep. Rahm Emanuel to
be his White House chief of staff, his first selection for the new
administration, Democratic officials said Wednesday.
If Emanuel accepts, he would return to the White House where he served as a
political and policy adviser to President Clinton.
Several Democrats also said Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry was actively
seeking appointment as secretary of State in the new administration.
Two campaign officials said the appointment of a chief of staff was not
expected for at least a day.
Instead, they said Obama would issue a written statement announcing that his
transition team would be headed by John Podesta, who served as chief of staff
under Clinton; Pete Rouse, who has been Obama's chief of staff in the Senate;
and Valerie Jarrett, a friend of the president-elect and campaign adviser.
The officials who described the developments did so on condition of
anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss events not yet
announced.
On the day after Obama's election, several prominent Democrats described
uncertainty about the extent to which lobbyists would be invited to work in
the new administration. As a candidate, Obama frequently said lobbyists would
not run his White House.
That left unclear whether they would be permitted to serve, and if so, in
what posts and under what conditions.
The president-elect had breakfast with his wife and daughters, then left his
house for a workout at a nearby gym. Aides said he intended to visit his
campaign headquarters later in the day to thank his staff.
Obama has 10 weeks to build a new administration. But his status as an
incumbent member of Congress presents issues unseen since 1960, when John F.
Kennedy moved from the Senate to the White House.
The Senate is scheduled to hold a post-election session in two weeks, and
Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a news conference Wednesday to reinforce her call
for quick action on a bill to stimulate the economy.
That places Obama in uncharted territory — a president-elect, presumably
first among equals among congressional Democrats. Yet his and their ability
to enact legislation depends almost entirely until Inauguration Day on
President Bush's willingness to sign it.

A Hoffman Estates writer who says he has been targeted by authorities
because of his views was convicted Tuesday on charges stemming from a
confrontation last summer with police outside his home.
Christopher Bollyn, 50, was found guilty of misdemeanor aggravated assault
and resisting arrest after a four-day trial in the Rolling Meadows branch of
Cook County Circuit Court.
Jurors deliberated about two hours before returning the verdict.
Bollyn, who has written for several Web sites and has claimed that Israeli
agents were involved in the World Trade Center attack on Sept. 11, 2001,
called police Aug. 15 to report a suspicious car in his neighborhood. The
car was an unmarked squad with three tactical unit officers, and authorities
said the officers pulled into Bollyn's driveway in the 200 block of Kingman
Lane to identify themselves.
The officers testified that Bollyn became belligerent and that they tackled
him and used a stun gun to subdue him after he told them he was going into
his house to get "reinforcements."

I've listened to Bollyn many times and I don't recall him questioning "The Holocaust"(tm).
Smith (DBS) won't really comment on it and claims he won't do any research on it, since he
lives in France and he'll suffer from the French state if it considers him to be
a "Holocaust"(tm) heretic.
So...
Can you show me who is supposed to be "anti-Holocaust"?

You're not telling me anything new.
I personally have some questions about Bollyn, but it's his info that counts.
He spent some time in Israel after he finished school, his first wife was ISRAELI,
and he claims to be able to speak some Hebrew.
He just happened to be in NY on 9/11 while he was on his travels...
DBS put out a call to his listeners to help Bollyn and Bollyn stated on one
show that TFC* listeners called the Police Dept in question and helped out.

Have you listened to Bollyn's side of the story?
I will say that Bollyn wound up splitting up a lot of people, like
DBS, Eric Hufschmid, Michael Collins Piper, Victor Thorn...
He disappeared and claims to be alright somewhere in Europe, but
no one knows what really happened to him.
Hufschmid claims from time to time ZioJews kidnapped him.

So, what is this supposed to be? Have you "exposed" DBS or Bollyn?

Hufschmid claims Rafeeq must not be trusted, but Hufschmid doesn't really
trust anyone in the "truth movement" (except maybe Bollyn before his disappearance).
Bollyn was putting out some excellent info. If you want to get into the
personalities, I suggest you listen to ALL of his interviews with DBS
before you (as usual) jump to conclusions.
They are *excellent* interviews and Bollyn connected a lot of dots.
