Not to be confused with the well-known Atlantic Records producer.
He lived in Wallingford, Connecticut.
"I don't know why but almost all nature photographers run around
photographing plants only in their flowering and/or fruiting stage. My
approach is to study, and photograph the entire life cycle--from seed
to seed. When this photo essay is unfolded in a book or in a slide
show it entices the reader/viewer with something he can understand and
gives me the opportunity of presenting a tremendous amount of botany
without the reader/viewer realizing that he's being fed this so-called
dull subject."
