Not positive, but it looks like somewhwere in Baja. About half way
down the inside there are places that look just like this. There also
used to be windsurfing up there. Not sure if they still do, as it
seems to have all moved to Ventana and Los Borriles. Beautifull
looking spot.

Has anyone on the list been to Palekastro/Kouremenos Beach?

Sounds awesome and combines 2 of my travel essentials - a top notch
windsurfing station and a "remote," not very touristy village. I've
read that development is coming to eastern Crete so this could be
changing, although with the recent economic melt-down perhaps that's
farther off than predicted.
There are many areas of Crete to avoid, unless you like to surround
yourself with hoards of "package tourists", but I think this area is
still promising, and the wind reports for summer are great.
