I love the internet because you can access
information kept on lockdown by official sources
that don't want it to be discovered.
Before the internet, the average person
was handed down information by
media gods who had all the cool gear.
Ha, no more!
Odd information like Walt Disney's alleged
Hispanic origin gets out.
I have read two versions of the story.
Walt Disney's father had an alleged sexual
liaison with a woman of spanish origin
which produced Walt but was never revealed
to him until he found out.
The other theory has Walt Disney being adopted
as a Hispanic child and having his name changed
to English.
When you look closely at Walt, he does have the debonair
mustache and twinkling eyes of a gaucho.
(wasn't that the title of his second Mickey Mouse cartoon?)
When he made the trip to South America during the
strike at his studio, pictures of him twirling
a rope and participating in Spanish culture
made him look like a fellow countryman.
I don't know if the stories are true.
If they are, so what?
Will it change opinions of his movies because he was
Hispanic? |
