Please, please, please, please, please request my song "Tom" on Dr.
Demento today! I really need the exposure for my new CD. I've got
about 52 copies just ready to be sold here at home (And several more
at CD Baby), and if you want one go buy it today at www.oddaustin.com!
You can request by visiting http://www.drdemento.com/request/ and
filling out the form. You can even get your voice on the radio by
recording an MP3 and uploading it on that same page, if your voice is
chosen to be played you get a free listen to the show, so by all means
request Tom that way too.

Best of luck from a Tom!
Just so you know: I had considerable luck with getting one of my songs
played on Dr. Demento back in 2001 (I was number 5 for the entire year
on the Funny 25, and he played another one of my songs about two years
ago once. To my knowledge, I have sold exactly ONE CD due to exposure
on the show. Not that I'm not grateful because I've sold countless CDs
at gigs because I was on the Dr. Demento show. But don't expect
thousands to come knocking. Since Dr. D is only on, what, eight
stations or something, consider it an honor if you get on. If you're
lucky, you'll get a letter from Dr. D, like I did, which I have framed
to this very day!
Book yourself some gigs. People buy funny CDs from strangers. I
guarantee it.
